After reading the article, 'How States Are Using Limited Licensed Legal Paraprofessionals to Address the Access to Justice Gap' written by Tara Hughes, ACP, RP and Joyce Reichard, JD, on the American Bar Association's website, how do you think LLPs will shape the future of the paralegal profession?

Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

    Thank you

The ABA is fiercely protective of their own.  I'm not surprised that California Bar members fought against the concept of using LLP's and won.  Sadly its the middle class and poor people on the fringes that suffer.  Not everyone can afford legal advice at $500 per hour and up.  Certainly LLP's fill a need, and where they practice will not make a dent on the big city attorneys and their high powered law firms.  LLP's can assist the public where hiring a high priced attorney is overkill and should not be necessary. There are changes coming, with AI and the way lawyers and politicians have monopolized the law.  It's time to change the way access to the law is done.  It should be accessible to all.
